Eyebright, or Euphrasia, has been used as a medicinal herb since the 14th century. It has been traditionally used for curing eye problems such as reducing inflammation of the eyes and conjunctivitis. It is also used for treating respiratory tract diseases such as sinusitis, upper respiratory tract infections, and inflammation of the mucous membrane. It is also used as an anti-inflammatory for hay fever, bronchial colds, nasal irritations, and other seasonal allergies.
